The Double-Dealing Chairman is Amongst the GOP’s Worst Scoundrels

The news recently broke that Bobby Schostak would not be seeking another term as the Chairman of the Michigan Republican Party. Nobody is happier about this news than the 2014 Republican 9th District Congressional Nominee, George Brikho.

After running as a Republican for Congress in the 9th District this past year, prominent freedom activist George Brikho was outraged at the shocking level of disrespect he received from officials in his own party. And the one of culprits of this culture of disrespect and corruption was Chairman Schostak.

“Schostak did not even have the respect to return my calls. ,” He would not even announce my name at special events. Brikho said. “I did better than candidates who the establishment did promote and spent lots of money on. His lack of character is shameful to the Republican Party and this great country, what are his true objectives for the Republican party and the Unsited States?”

“We are in a battle for freedom to keep our Constitutional liberties, and I joined the party to fight Obama and the Democrats in Washington DC,” Brikho said. “I never thought that my worst opponents would come from the establishment of my own party.”

As the MIGOP was spouting its unity rhetoric, the party refused to practice what it preached. After attempting to railroad Rep. Justin Amash with slimy well-funded primary challengers, the party offered zero support to Brikho who brought fresh ideas into the fold to grow the GOP.

“In my first run for office, I received 37 percent of the vote without the Michigan Republican Party lifting a finger to help me. They wouldn’t help me because I am not a corporate-bought villain like so many of their candidates,” Brikho said. “I am a man of the people, and I refuse to play ball with the evil interests responsible for destroying America.”

Brikho fared better than all other Michigan Republican Congressional candidates running in conventionally blue districts. The candidates in the 5th, 12th, 13th, 14th districts received a smaller percentage of the vote than Brikho in spite of party brass giving his campaign the cold shoulder. With a significant amount of resources directed toward growing the party in the 9th district, Brikho may have been able to close the gap with Sander Levin.

“It isn’t about me,” Brikho said. “It is about the message of freedom. The masses are starved for this message. I was happy to inspire so many people by talking about the real issues that are affecting them, not just the garbage they are used to hearing on TV. With adequate help from the state party, I could have reached so many more people, woke them up, got them more active and involved.”

However, the support never came. This happened because the policies of Sander Levin are much more similar to the MIGOP’s agenda than Brikho’s policies. Brikho boldly stands against illegal wars, corporate welfare, bankster bailouts, crony capitalism, rampant illegal immigration and the outsourcing of jobs. These are the types of policies that the Schostak-wing of the GOP has been supporting, to the detriment of American freedom, for decades.

Schostak’s reign at the helm of the MIGOP has been tumultuous, to say the least. He was nearly canned in Feb. 2013, defeating conservative activist and incoming State House Representative Todd Courser by the skin of his teeth. Schostak had a tremendous funding advantage, and it was barely enough to keep him around.

“Schostak’s leadership has shamed us all,” Brikho said. “It is past time for our party to have some accountability and standards. Our next chairman must take the party in a different direction. Schostak’s arrogance, elitism and cronyism hurt the party immeasurably.”

Brikho is not exaggerating. Schostak’s tarnished legacy speaks for itself. He was infamous for being tone-deaf to the concerns of grassroots conservatives, and had a laundry list of scandals that plagued his tenure as MIGOP chairman.

Schostak was caught supporting Democratic candidates for office, behavior clearly unfitting of a Republican Party chairman. In 2007, he contributed two eery $666 donations to extreme liberal politicians Nancy Pelosi and Mark Udall, according to records publicly available at CampaignMoney.com. He contributed $500 to Pres. Obama’s underling John Kerry in the same year. This is apart of a greater overall trend of double-dealing that became the hallmark of the Schostak regime.

In addition, Schostak was one of the primary cheerleaders for the ‘Healthy Michigan’ program that was little more than a hollow propaganda campaign for the implementation of Obamacare. Schostak has been a prime mover in ‘reinventing’ the Michigan Republican Party so it caters to unconstitutional federal power, rather than fighting it. Under Schostak’s stewardship, the Party of Lincoln has become the Party of Buying Voters with Obama’s blood money, at least in the Wolverine State.

To make matters even worse, Schostak’s family directly benefitted from controversial legislation rammed through by the GOP-dominated state legislature. An anti-free market bill that retroactively altered property contracts was pushed through the state legislature and signed into law in 2012. It was claimed that this bill was urgently needed to avert economic disaster. It is unclear how the bill accomplished this goal, but Schostak’s brother was able to welsh on a $2 million debt that he owed as a direct result of the law.

The Schostak-wing of the GOP calls courageous individuals like George Brikho an embarrassment while subsequently engaging in corruption at every turn. The reason Schostak and others act this way is because the presence of Brikho gives the GOP voters an option to be led by someone who is a principled champion of liberty, rather a known crook.

“The country club is just hoping that I will go away, but this experience has inspired me. I am just getting started,” Brikho said. “This is not the last you’ve heard of me. Schostak may be running from office with his tail between his legs, but I am going to be around in the Michigan Republican Party spreading the message and growing the movement for a very long time.”

The MIGOP resists Brikho’s presence at its own peril. His views on many key issues are in line with mainstream Americans. The country now overwhelmingly supports legal medical marijuana, and a clear majority supports legal marijuana. America is becoming fatigued with endless war overseas as well. The era of big government is coming to an end, and Brikho will be around to put the final nails in the coffin.

“I am ready to end big government for good. This is just the beginning. I will never stop until I secure a free America for my children. I will not leave them with this debt and without Constitutional rights. This is war, and I will not quit until I am victorious,” Brikho said.

I am always an outspoken critic of our nations’ politicians in both political parties. I feel that they are madmen who are out to devastate the Constitutional rights of all of us, and have brought death and destruction to innocent Christians in the Middle East. However, I must give credit to one of them for speaking out and saying the plain truth. I am talking about Virginia Republican State Senator Richard Black.

Senator Black recently wrote an open letter to Syrian thanking him for shielding Christians from persecution in Syria. He thanked President Assad for fighting ISIS and foreign Jihadists as well. This may not be a popular stance to take. This may not be politically correct to say, but I am sure glad he said it. The American war machine and its propaganda have demonized Assad, but it is all lies. He is the best thing for Syria right now, especially considering the other options.

In a world gone mad, Assad provides shelter for persecuted Christians. He deserves praise for doing so. ISIS would have the Christians raped, tortured, mutiliated and slaughtered. The Al Queda-affiliated ‘moderate’ forces who Obama and the neocons support so passionately would not treat Christians as well as Assad has. The butchers in Washington D.C. hate Christianity, and do not want to see it thrive in the Middle East. That is why they demonize Assad and attempt to overthrow him.

I wish more politicians had the courage of Senator Black who speaks earnestly and doesn’t care about the repercussions. That is the type of courage I will demonstrate if I ever am fortunate enough to serve you in public office. I will not hesitate to call out any politician, whether they are Republican or Democrat, if they put Christians in danger in the Middle East. I will not tolerate that type of evil for one second, and will follow in the heroic state senator’s footsteps.

I would like to thank everyone who supported me in my campaign. None of this could of been possible without your blessings and prayers, I would like to be clear, I believe my accomplishments are a victory in itself, their is no reason for anyone to think the results of the election were disheartening, I received the highest percentage points then any other Republican Candidate in the past 20 years, without one ounce of help from the Michigan Republican Party. It was the greatest time of my life “I am the happiest man on earth” in fact I am on cloud nine right now.

I am very happy to know that I sparked the minds of many and to that I am proud. I took on the elite, the powerful, head on with no hesitation or fear, because I fear no man, I only fear my GOD.

It feels awesome to know that a man like me who has never ran for any elected position, accomplished what I accomplished and did what I did.
I have come further then many before me, I am proud, I make my family proud.

The 9th District Republican Nominee Believes that Arming Islamic Radicals is the Wrong Way to Promote Christian Values
As Washington D.C. politicians endlessly spout hubristic fantasies about remaking the Middle East to promote freedom and democracy, they offer very little in terms of results. The region is less free than ever, and Christians are being persecuted like never before.
9th District Republican Congressional Nominee George Brikho lays the blame squarely on the shoulders of our public servants, and more specifically the President and the Congress that always seem to be looking for terrorists to arm and bombs to unleash.
“Republican and Democratic leadership has failed us,” Brikho said. “I am an independent voice. I do not want to be apart of the good old boys club. I want America to succeed, and I don’t want to see us go completely bankrupt because of insane foreign policies that endanger our nation and the world.”
The world has never been a more dangerous place for Christians. According to a Mathrubhumi report, 120,000 Christians have been forced to flee from their homes in Iraq to Kurdistan. This ethnic cleansing has been aided and abetted by senseless and destructive American policies, according to Brikho.
“The John McCain-Barack Obama approach to foreign policy has failed us,” Brikho said. “They are desperately working to dispose Assad in Syria. Without Assad in power, radical Islam would reign. Christians would be slaughered at record numbers. The warmongers in both parties put Christians in grave danger with their bloodlust.”
The United States authorized $500 million to bolster supposedly moderate rebels in Syria back in September. Some of this aid has already been confirmed as being intercepted by ISIS forces, according to a Daily Beast report. Washington D.C. has not been able to prove that they can keep the aid out of the hands of the extremists, in spite of rhetoric to the contrary.
“There are things we can do besides arm terrorists,” Brikho said. “We could help secular rulers like Assad who are friendly to Christians. We can support the Kurds. We can welcome Christian refugees into America who are fleeing persecution. These options make much more sense than what we are doing right now.”
America has started an aggressive Syria bombing campaign as well. According to a report from the Independent, American forces are expected to start the widespread bombing of Syrian oil pipeline infrastructure. This could cause untold damage to the prosperity of the Syrian people therefore creating more animosity toward America and sending people into the arms of ISIS and other radicals.
“My family comes from Iraq. I know Saddam was brutal and repressive,” Brikho said. “But he kept radical Islam in line. He wouldn’t tolerate forces like ISIS. Now Iraq is in chaos and that is fostering the rise of ISIS and other militants. This is directly due to the war on Iraq.”
Many Republicans have blamed President Obama for all of this cause because of his foreign policy decisions. While there is some truth to their claims, it was Bush’s ill-conceived War on Iraq that was the primary enabler of the ongoing persecution of Christians in the region. It created a power vacuum that has been filled by radical Islam. All of Bush’s promises about the war have not come to fruition.
“The Republican establishment pays cheap lip service to Christian values, and then they support arming terrorists across the world,” Brikho said. “I will be the champion for life around the world. I will fight for persecuted Christians, and to give them a safe haven. I will not sell out Christian values for political power like so many in my party have.”

Congressman Represents Everything That’s Broken About Washington D.C.

This year’s election season is demonstrating the disconnect between Washington D.C. and the rest of America like never before. While more people are discontent than any time in our nation’s history, the politicians are up to their same old tricks. This behavior is on full display from beltway veteran Sander Levin. In a recent interview with WXYZ-Channel 7 for their ‘Democracy 2014’ series, Levin showed his tone-deaf arrogance and repeated the banal talking points that we are used to hearing from our unethical political class.
Levin started the interview by defending his vote for the bailout of General Motors, now rapidly moving their operations to China after taking billions in taxpayer dollars, as being responsible for Michigan’s supposed economic recovery. He then claimed that more revenues, which is a euphemism used by cowardly politicians for taxes, are needed to fix Michigan’s roads. In perhaps his most ridiculous statement, he had the nerve to say that he just needs more time in Congress to fix America’s many problems. If he hasn’t been able to fix them in over three decades, why would he do so in the next two years?
We have already had plenty of time to see what Levin is all about, and it’s not pretty. America has gone from the Land of the Free to a rapidly-decaying, bankrupt police state. When Sander showed up, the debt was around $1 trillion. It has grown to $17 trillion under his stewardship. Levin has been no voice in the wilderness arguing against this profligate spending. On the contrary, he has been one of the leading cheerleaders for the growth of out-of-control government and always has been happy to funnel the loot into the pockets of corporations, unions and other monied special interests.
Let us consider Levin’s voting record. Levin voted against the repeal of the indefinite detention provisions of the NDAA, which allow Americans to be kidnapped and held without due process if they are merely suspected of terrorism. He voted for Obamacare, the infamous insurance company bailout disguised as health care reform. He voted to re-authorize the FISA Courts, which serve as a rubber stamp for the invasive, illegal, unconstitutional NSA spying program. He voted against removing troops from Libya, which eventually led to the Benghazi disaster. He voted to arm Syrian Jihadists with $500 million in taxpayer money. He voted for the TARP bailouts that used taxpayer money to bail out criminal corporate banks that defrauded the American people.
Those are just some of Levin’s most recent abysmal votes. Throughout his long tenure in Washington D.C, Levin has been a chief architect in the destruction of America. Virtually every piece of bad legislation over the past 30 years has received the OK from Levin. If the legislation caters to big money corporate interests, Sander will likely give it his wholehearted approval. If the legislation wastes taxpayer money, it will assuredly have Sander’s support. If the legislation destroys the civil rights and liberties of Americans, you can bet your bottom dollar that Sander will be its proponent.
We have a crisis of leadership in America. While families were busy minding their own business and working hard to put food on the table, our nation was being sold out to the highest bidder. There is certainly a lot of blame to go around. Many of our institutions have failed us to a certain degree, but none more so than Congress. That is why their approval rating is permanently in the toilet. There is one particular Michigan Representative who embodies everything that is wrong with Washington D.C. He combines deceit, treachery, hubris, avarice and corruption like few other bureaucrats. He has sold you and your family’s freedom to the highest bidder, and his name is Sander Levin.
  He says that if you just give him more time, he’ll make it all better. 32 long years wasn’t enough. Give him another term, and then he’ll get it right. This is exactly the type of nonsense that the American people are fed up with. The elitist political establishment thinks that they can just spew empty, mindless rhetoric to the public, and they’ll lap it up. Well, the time for that to change is now. The people of the 9th Congressional district actually have a choice this time around. They can support more of the same, the man who has repeatedly betrayed America with his voting record, or they can support a man of the people – George Brikho.
9th District Republican Party Congressional Candidate George Brikho is a small business owner and a family man. He is not a career politician. He is an independent, and refuses to take orders from party bosses. He understands how important it is to keep America free. A Chaldean-American, his family emigrated from Iraq to America to seek refuge from political oppression. Because of the freedom that America provides, his family built a life for themselves. Brikho understands how politicians like Sander Levin are putting Americans into bondage with their reckless, inconsiderate, devastating policies. He will do everything in his power to stop them if he is elected.
Voters, ask yourselves these important questions before Nov. 4: Isn’t it time to try something new? Hasn’t business as usual failed our country? Where has the country gone during the last 32 years? We must ask ourselves these tough questions. Our leadership has failed us. Sander Levin has been an integral part of that leadership. Now it is finally time to take out the trash. We need a new era of politics in Washington D.C. and that begins with sending a good man to Congress. 9th District Republican Congressional Candidate George Brikho is ready to lead on the border security issue if he is elected in next week’s election, something that he says is lacking from both political parties.

“The Democrats want open borders to buy more voters with taxpayer money. The Republicans want open borders for corporations to exploit cheap labor and boost their profit margins. This is how bipartisanship works in Washington, and it makes me sick,” Brikho said.

Although Brikho is not opposed to immigration, as his parents came to this country from Iraq, he is opposed to rampant illegal immigration. The US-Mexico border situation is especially disgraceful and dangerous to the future of the country, he claims.

“My parents came over to this country legally,” Brikho said. “Immigration is a great thing as long as it is properly controlled and encourages assimilation. My family came over here to enjoy the bounty of freedom. Open-border madness only destroys our freedom, and the safety and security of our great nation.”

“People who want to come here should be allowed to come,” Brikho said. “It should be an easy, streamlined process. But rolling out the red carpet for criminals and vagrants to come from other countries with no accountability is absolute insanity.”

The stories coming out of the ongoing US-Mexico border crisis certainly speak to Brikho’s concerns. The situation seems to be getting progressively worse, and Washington D.C. is too preoccupied to do anything about the problem. Plagued with re-election concerns, Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill are hesitant to take bold, decisive action to fix the problem.

A recent USA Today report featuring data from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement shows that illegal immigrants released from custody had been convicted of many crimes including homicide, sexual assault, drug trafficking and kidnapping. This happened in spite of the Obama administration constantly reassuring the public that the released immigrants posed no threat to public safety.

To make matters worse, the Associated Press reports that 70 percent of newly arriving immigrant families fail to report to federal immigration agents. This is contributing to the decay of the rule of law, and making a mockery of our immigration system. It is difficult for the public to trust in the government when the law is being openly flouted on a grand scale without any repercussions.

Reports have surfaced that families taking in immigrants can be paid up to $7,400 per person, according to a Breitbart News report. In the mean time, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services are getting ready to issue as many as 9 million ID cards for newly arriving immigrants. All of this is happening while America has a struggling job market and an unprecedented debt level. According to Brikho, these policies are pushing America to the breaking point.

“This country is strained too much already,” Brikho said. “We have ISIS, Ebola, and all of these other things to handle. We cannot afford to give this money away when we are already broke. We are headed toward full-blown collapse if we don’t change our ways quickly.”

Brikho believes that there could be a far more sinister agenda at work than mere incompetence.

“The federal government is behind all of this,” Brikho said. “They want Americans to forget their traditions so they are easier to control. They want to sell out our national sovereignty to globalist bankers. When I get to Washington, I will fight the status quo. No more destroying American prosperity and freedom for any reason.”

According to another USA Today report, the Obama administration is working to allow undocumented immigrants to serve in the Armed Forces. This is occurring while American military prospectives are being turned away from service due to supposed budget cuts and over-staffing concerns. Once again, this shows that the federal government’s priorities are seriously misaligned.

In addition, independent journalist James O’Keefe highlighted America’s border insecurity by dressing up like a terrorist and successfully crossing the northern and southern border without any impediments. This proves that border security is not being taken seriously by politicians in Washington D.C. While they regularly invoke the terrorism bogeyman to call for more power and larger budgets, they do absolutely nothing to shore up real threats on our nation’s borders.

As border chaos poses a significant threat to national security, Congress approved $500 million to be dumped into a Syrian civil war in September. Places where the United States has intervened – such as Iraq and Libya – have become safe havens for the spread of dangerous radical Islam, and Christians have never been more persecuted and threatened. Meanwhile, our borders remain as porous as ever. This is a recipe for disaster, according to Brikho.

“The orchestrated take-down of America is absolutely dispicable, and I will do everything I can to fight it when I am in Washington. My opponent Sander Levin only cares about corporate kickbacks. He doesn’t care about keeping us safe. He is an oligarch, I am a small business owner and a family man. I will represent the people,” Brikho said.

9th District Republican Congressional Candidate George Brikho is moving forward with his plan to open a medical marijuana dispensary in Madison Heights, a move that he hopes will advance his political, humanitarian and entrepreneurial goals.

“I have witnessed lives being saved because of medical marijuana,” Brikho said. “I am proud of being involved in this business and this movement. It is not drug pushing, it is giving medicine to the sick. 63% of the Michigan voter’s voted in favor of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Bill. The Founding Fathers would have approved.”

Brikho credits medical marijuana for boosting the Michigan economy and points to his own story as proof of this claim. After being hurt in the wake of the 2008 economic crash, Brikho was able to rebuild his life by starting new businesses that sell fertilizer and growing supplies.

“In the marijuana industry, we are creating American jobs during a recession. There is a ripple effect that benefits all of society,” Brikho said. “Just think of the plumbers, electricians, construction workers, contractors, gardeners and so on. They all gain from this sustainable industry, and feed their families because of it. Suppressing marijuana is not only inhumane, but an economic disaster as well. Anything plastic can be made from Hemp”

Brikho recently took his message to WXYZ Channel 7 by participating in their ‘Democracy 2014’ interview series. During his exchange with Chuck Stokes, Brikho vigorously defended medical marijuana to a state-wide audience. In spite of its growing support, this is a message that is rarely heard from political candidates in the Republican Party.

“We as Republicans are missing out on this very important issue,” Brikho said. “It’s a freedom issue and my party doesn’t understand how marijuana can improve the economy and public health. There is no reason why we can’t do what Colorado has done in Michigan and throughout the whole country.”

“We are alienating ourselves from young people and minorities. Our opposition says that we are out-of-touch hypocrites who lack compassion, and we prove them right by refusing to embrace marijuana. I am fighting that type of influence in the Republican Party, to bring us into the 21st century,” Brikho said.

Brikho’s vision is a stark contrast from the Washington D.C. orthodoxy. Marijuana-based remedies to illnesses have been stunted for many years because of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) policy. The FDA and other federal bureaucracies have made it difficult for research and development to take place that could have greatly advanced the effectiveness and availability of medicinal marijuana.

“It is criminal that the FDA stands for corporate profits and keeps life-saving medicine out of the hands of the ill,” Brikho said. “I will fight this protectionist racket tooth-and-nail when I am elected Congressman. I will fight for this miraculous medicine to be developed to its greatest extent to heal as many ailments as possible.”

Marijuana can also reduce the nation-wide epidemic of pharmaceutical drug abuse. Millions of people are using psychotropic drugs, which can produce many harmful side effects. According to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report released earlier this year, an excess of 10,000 children aged 2-4 are being prescribed these drugs. Brikho calls these type of laws and practices ‘insane.’

“How can we have the nerve to tell a veteran who has served our great Nation, who was maimed OR injured while serving, what pain medication’s he is allowed to take? Its madness, its profit over wellness” Brikho said.

“These insane policies are tearing at the moral fabric of America. Corporate and government collusion has kept perfectly good medicine out of the hands of the sick, and provided people with pills they don’t need in order to boost profit margins,” Brikho said. “This is an epidemic, and it must be stopped.”

Foreign Policy Aids ISIS and Must Be Stopped to Save Western Civilization

America has been dragged into yet another war. This time, it is in Syria to stop the forces of ISIS – or at least to use this as an excuse for expanding U.S. military involvement in that region to appease the blood-thirsty political class. The war fervor was manufactured by a corporate media that has displayed images of these barbarians committing disgusting, brutal acts 24/7. This has caused the American public to shake in its boots, develop amnesia, and forget about the mess that their foreign policy has created over the past decade. This warmongering approach, sadly favored by an overwhelming majority according to all opinion polls, is wrong-headed and will only exacerbate problems in the Middle East.

We must recognize the cold, hard reality that is staring us in the face. The United States has no track record of success in its Middle Eastern affairs. As a matter of fact, it was many rash and wrong-headed foreign policy decisions that have caused this disastrous situation. Preemptive attacks, invasions, bombings and the funding of terrorist groups by the United States have fostered an atmosphere of hatred and disorder that has allowed a vicious entity like ISIS to rise. Truly, the bureaucrats in Washington D.C. and their enablers are the best friends of the Islamic Jihadists as they do everything they can to foment their rise all over the world.

For the most obvious example of this, let us look to the 2003 American-led invasion of Iraq. When Saddam Hussein was governing Iraq, the presence of radical Islam in the country was marginalized. Although he was clearly repressive and tyrannical, he kept even worse forces at bay with his iron-fisted rule. By going in there, disposing of him and creating a power vacuum, American foreign policy created conditions conducive for a group such as ISIS to ascend. Freedom and democracy were supposed to spring about, but the opposite has happened in actuality. All of the experts were dead wrong or lying, and Americans are a trillion dollars poorer and thousands of soldiers are dead because the gullible public accepted their patently false nonsense without so much as thinking.

America has frequently targeted the opponents of ISIS for regime change. One of ISIS’ most determined and effective enemies is the al-Assad regime in Syria. Just last year, there was a desperate push from Obama and warmongers in both parties to illegitimately eject al-Assad from power. He was called a terrorist, a dictator, the next Hitler and so forth. Despite the outpouring of opposition to the radical foreign “rebels” and support for the Syrian Arab Army in that war from the Syrian people, Washington D.C. poured significant resources into the effort to depose the government. We heard all the familiar canards that we heard about Saddam to dupe the public into supporting an unfortunate invasion of that country. However, the public and the American military refused to buy the propaganda in that case. Obama and his Congressional collaborators were unable to overthrow Assad – for the time being.

Now, imagine if Assad was removed from power in Syria right now and unable to fight ISIS forces. It would have an even greater foothold in the region. If American foreign policy had been successful, ISIS would have been bolstered. If we had listened to the John McCain’s and Mike Rogers’ of the world, ISIS would be more powerful than ever because one of their worst foes in the region would have been vanquished. This foreign policy failure of ours was the best thing that could have happened to Syrian and Iraqi Christians under persecution from radical Islam, in spite of the spin being served up by the blind, deaf and dumb Washington D.C. political class.

Another one of ISIS’ worst adversaries is Iran. Like Iraq under Saddam, it is not the nicest place to live. It regularly commits many human rights violations that are deplorable. But when there is an extreme force like ISIS terrorizing millions of people, you have to pick your poison. There is simply no hard evidence that Iran or Syria pose any sort of an existential threat to America or the world at large. Both countries have shown no inclination to spread radical Islam in a brutal, imperialistic manner. However, ISIS has clearly shown the will to dominate the region, and America is incomprehensibly working to decimate all of their foes!

The sad fact of the matter is that American politicians, bureaucrats and media propagandists suffer from a terrible case of Hubris. Bombing the Middle East, laying it to waste, and then looking at your handiwork to make the case for yet another senseless war is reprehensible. Putin may be committing war crimes in the Ukraine, although those making accusations about that are less than credible. If the charges against Putin are true, and that’s a big IF, he should be denounced by every respectable individual. However, in comparison to the U.S. and the war crimes it has committed in the past decade alone, Putin is a dove. American policymakers have lost the moral high ground and have no right to tell Russia or any other country how to handle their affairs. Whatever stature they had was squandered with their deadly military empire and the millions of corpses left in its wake.

Americans like to boast that they live in the land of the free, the shining city on the hill that serves as the beacon of freedom, liberty, democracy and all that is right about the world. But those days are long gone. American exceptionalism has become a thing of the past. Perhaps it was lost after the United States sanctioned torture, or maybe it was lost after hellfire missiles were deliberately dropped on wedding parties, rescue workers and funeral processions by American predator drones, or possibly it was lost after depleted uranium was needlessly dropped by U.S. forces onto Iraqis causing an epidemic of birth defects, cancer and other maladies. Nevertheless, our exceptionalism is finished, and some arrogant deluded politician’s bluster is not going to bring it back.

These are the hard truths that are usually glossed over in the mainstream political discourse, but they must be addressed. America has destroyed virtually all of its good will abroad and is hemorrhaging money at an astounding rate. The country is more than 17 trillion in the hole according to official numbers, and hundreds of trillions in the red when unfunded liabilities (future promises of government payouts related to Social Security, Medicare, pensions, etc.) are factored in. Nobody can explain how this money is going to be paid back. Debt-addicted Americans live in a lala land, and the rest of the world suffers because of their refusal to live within their means and mind their own business.

Additionally, we are no longer a free people but are subjected to a growing totalitarian police state and an Imperial Presidency, which threaten the very rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness articulated in the Declaration of Independence. The feds have taken for themselves power that was never delegated to them, power which is in violation of the Constitution, power which is in violation of their oaths of office to uphold that document, and power which no one should possess. No matter how much Americans may love to wrap themselves in the flag and play the role of patriot, their society is clearly headed down the road to totalitarianism. The Founding Fathers are spinning in their graves at what America has become. While Americans are duped into chasing phantoms thousands of miles away, their own government is a million times more menacing than any convenient Arabic bogeyman that is being pushed as this week’s excuse for war.

The only way we can start on the path back toward righteousness is by electing public officials who will shake up the status quo, and speak truth to power. In the 9th Congressional District, we have one of those people running as a Republican. His name is George Brikho. He is not an establishment, machine politician. He is a small business owner of Chaldean descent who advocates a rational judicious foreign policy that will restore American prestige and exceptionalism. He personally understands the damage that has been done to Iraqi Christians, and knows that U.S. interventionism has been the leading cause of their peril. His competitor, Sander Levin, represents all that is wrong with our political system. He has voted for illegal wars, debt, bailouts, corporate welfare and other abominable policies that have plagued our country. Brikho is a rebuke of these incomprehensible policies that have failed us so tragically for many years. He is the breathe of fresh air that we need in a Washington D.C. political class rotten to its core.

George Brikho understands that we are not helping anyone out with our foreign policy except for power-crazed Washington D.C. bureaucrats and money-hungry corporate fatcats. He knows that we must reject the self-serving interests that will use any turmoil throughout the world to call for more war. Their schemes have failed us spectacularly while enriching and empowering themselves at our expense. They have caused an untold amount of human misery in the process. No more American blood must be spilled in these unnecessary and counter-productive foreign conflicts. American foreign policy has already paved the way for ISIS to lay claim to land, people and power. It is time to change our ways before we cause even more damage overseas and in the homeland. The road to peace, Liberty and prosperity begins with electing representatives that understand the importance of these key principles. Dear Representative Sander Levin:

44 years ago, as a young upstart politician, you telegramed the honorable William Milliken, requesting he debate you. As you said then, “the issues are so abundant, the problems so urgent, that we have no need to resort to campaigns that consist of personality analysis”. Like you then, I would be extremely eager to engage in a series of 4 issue-based debates this October. Debating four times would help create an open and informative dialogue with our neighbors, the residents of Michigan’s Ninth Congressional District, about the ‘abundant’ and ‘urgent’ issues facing middle class families, small businesses, veterans and seniors.
Mr. Levin, it is critical that we provide the voters with an opportunity to hear and learn directly where we both stand on issues facing our district and our country. That’s why I’m proud to have shared time with courageous people facing difficult challenges in finding a good job, affording to the cost of college for their children, growing their small business or simply making ends meet. This last item can be so difficult for seniors on a fixed-income. Additionally, the constant drumbeat of war and the loss of American privacy and freedom have cast a pall over the lives of those living in our district, as well as the rest of the country. It is imperative that people have an opportunity to learn as much as possible about each of us and where we stand on the issues that impact their lives and their families so they can make a truly informed decision.
Accordingly, I am requesting that our respective campaign staffs work together to start planning the details immediately. I am also providing the media a copy of this correspondence to further initiate this process. Please respond at your earliest convenience.
