I would like to thank everyone who supported me in my campaign. None of this could of been possible without your blessings and prayers, I would like to be clear, I believe my accomplishments are a victory in itself, their is no reason for anyone to think the results of the election were disheartening, I received the highest percentage points then any other Republican Candidate in the past 20 years, without one ounce of help from the Michigan Republican Party. It was the greatest time of my life “I am the happiest man on earth” in fact I am on cloud nine right now.

I am very happy to know that I sparked the minds of many and to that I am proud. I took on the elite, the powerful, head on with no hesitation or fear, because I fear no man, I only fear my GOD.

It feels awesome to know that a man like me who has never ran for any elected position, accomplished what I accomplished and did what I did.
I have come further then many before me, I am proud, I make my family proud.

I could of ran for a low level position like state rep but I felt going to Washington would serve us better, I will never give up.

Republican Congressional Nominee George Brikho to Open Medical Marijuana Provisioning Center

Saving Lives While Bolstering Michigan’s Fragile Economic Recovery is Brikho’s Goal

9th District Republican Congressional Candidate George Brikho is moving forward with his plan to open a medical marijuana dispensary in Madison Heights, a move that he hopes will advance his political, humanitarian and entrepreneurial goals.

“I have witnessed lives being saved because of medical marijuana,” Brikho said. “I am proud of being involved in this business and this movement. It is not drug pushing, it is giving medicine to the sick. 63% of the Michigan voter’s voted in favor of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Bill. The Founding Fathers would have approved.”

Brikho credits medical marijuana for boosting the Michigan economy and points to his own story as proof of this claim. After being hurt in the wake of the 2008 economic crash, Brikho was able to rebuild his life by starting new businesses that sell fertilizer and growing supplies.

“In the marijuana industry, we are creating American jobs during a recession. There is a ripple effect that benefits all of society,” Brikho said. “Just think of the plumbers, electricians, construction workers, contractors, gardeners and so on. They all gain from this sustainable industry, and feed their families because of it. Suppressing marijuana is not only inhumane, but an economic disaster as well. Anything plastic can be made from Hemp”

Brikho recently took his message to WXYZ Channel 7 by participating in their ‘Democracy 2014’ interview series. During his exchange with Chuck Stokes, Brikho vigorously defended medical marijuana to a state-wide audience. In spite of its growing support, this is a message that is rarely heard from political candidates in the Republican Party.

“We as Republicans are missing out on this very important issue,” Brikho said. “It’s a freedom issue and my party doesn’t understand how marijuana can improve the economy and public health. There is no reason why we can’t do what Colorado has done in Michigan and throughout the whole country.”

“We are alienating ourselves from young people and minorities. Our opposition says that we are out-of-touch hypocrites who lack compassion, and we prove them right by refusing to embrace marijuana. I am fighting that type of influence in the Republican Party, to bring us into the 21st century,” Brikho said.

Brikho’s vision is a stark contrast from the Washington D.C. orthodoxy. Marijuana-based remedies to illnesses have been stunted for many years because of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) policy. The FDA and other federal bureaucracies have made it difficult for research and development to take place that could have greatly advanced the effectiveness and availability of medicinal marijuana.

“It is criminal that the FDA stands for corporate profits and keeps life-saving medicine out of the hands of the ill,” Brikho said. “I will fight this protectionist racket tooth-and-nail when I am elected Congressman. I will fight for this miraculous medicine to be developed to its greatest extent to heal as many ailments as possible.”

Marijuana can also reduce the nation-wide epidemic of pharmaceutical drug abuse. Millions of people are using psychotropic drugs, which can produce many harmful side effects. According to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report released earlier this year, an excess of 10,000 children aged 2-4 are being prescribed these drugs. Brikho calls these type of laws and practices ‘insane.’

“How can we have the nerve to tell a veteran who has served our great Nation, who was maimed OR injured while serving, what pain medication’s he is allowed to take? Its madness, its profit over wellness” Brikho said.

“These insane policies are tearing at the moral fabric of America. Corporate and government collusion has kept perfectly good medicine out of the hands of the sick, and provided people with pills they don’t need in order to boost profit margins,” Brikho said. “This is an epidemic, and it must be stopped.”

44 years ago, as a young upstart politician, you telegramed the honorable William Milliken, requesting he debate you. As you said then, “the issues are so abundant, the problems so urgent, that we have no need to resort to campaigns that consist of personality analysis”. Like you then, I would be extremely eager to engage in a series of 4 issue-based debates this October. Debating four times would help create an open and informative dialogue with our neighbors, the residents of Michigan’s Ninth Congressional District, about the ‘abundant’ and ‘urgent’ issues facing middle class families, small businesses, veterans and seniors.
Mr. Levin, it is critical that we provide the voters with an opportunity to hear and learn directly where we both stand on issues facing our district and our country. That’s why I’m proud to have shared time with courageous people facing difficult challenges in finding a good job, affording to the cost of college for their children, growing their small business or simply making ends meet. This last item can be so difficult for seniors on a fixed-income. Additionally, the constant drumbeat of war and the loss of American privacy and freedom have cast a pall over the lives of those living in our district, as well as the rest of the country. It is imperative that people have an opportunity to learn as much as possible about each of us and where we stand on the issues that impact their lives and their families so they can make a truly informed decision.

George Brikho calls on President Obama and Congress to stop their
aggression against the Iraqi, Syrian and American people

Royal Oak, MI: George Brikho, Republican nominee for Congress in Michigan’s Ninth District, called on the President and the Congress to stop committing acts of aggression the people of Iraq, Syria, and America. “The unconstitutional foreign policy of the U.S. Government has led to the growth of radical terrorist groups and state-sponsored terror in the Middle East. All Americans remember what that led to on September 11, 2001. It makes no sense to continue putting Americans at risk for the benefit of politicians, bureaucrats and their special interest patrons,” said Brikho. “The current policy of regime-change overseas has resulted in a horrible death toll for the countries affected, left millions of innocent people displaced, destroyed their infrastructure, unleashed savage persecution of various religious and ethnic minorities, cost thousands of American war dead, cost tens of thousands of wounded and maimed, siphoned off huge amounts of taxpayer dollars and led to an all out assault on the Liberty and privacy of people all over the world, including Americans. After all this we are no safer, but we are certainly less free and less prosperous.”

The incumbent Congressman for the Ninth District, Sander Levin – D, has been in office for 16 terms. During his more than 30 years in office, Mr. Levin has been a reliable supporter of the military industrial complex, the foreign governments, U.S. government spying on Americans and the Federal police state powers. He has been an opponent of the freedom, privacy and prosperity of ordinary Americans here at home. Unlike Congressman Levin, George Brikho will put Liberty first and battle the political class in order to protect his neighbors and constituents from the schemes of the power elite. “I will take a different path than my opponent”, said the Republican challenger. “I will actually fulfill my oath of office to uphold the Constitution. Sander Levin is a serial oath-violator who works for the politically powerful. I will stand up for the middle class and the forgotten Americans.”

Brikho, whose mother and father are Chaldean immigrants from Iraq, is also determined to do whatever he can to resist the latest overseas outrages being committed by President Obama and his enablers in Congress. “Unlawful, aggressive, interventions in Libya, Iraq, Syria and other countries have led to the creation of ISIS. Despite their being no constitutionally-required Declaration of War, despite their being no attack on us, despite the clear voice of the American people, the president is continuing to unilaterally stir up more trouble in Syria and Iraq. Last year, the Administration mislead the American people about the alleged sarin gas attacks in Syria in order to stampede us into another war. He has continued operating unlawfully and against the wishes of the American people – and the Syrian people – by arming and training so-called “moderate rebels” in an attempt to overthrow the Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad. This illegitimate activity against a coalition partner in the “Global War on Terror” has empowered foreign jihadists who are definitely not moderate. It has led to increased death and destruction, as well as increased vulnerability for the long suffering people of the Middle East. I urge all my neighbors in Michigan to call Congressman Levin’s office in Washington at 202-225-4961 and his office in Roseville at 586-498-7122 to demand an end to this immoral and destructive policy immediately. People should also call the White House at 202-456-1111 in order to demand an end to these harmful and aggressive policies. Congress and the President have no right to attack other countries, putting us all at risk, like this. They must obey the Constitution, debate the facts of the matter openly and completely, only declaring war for clearly defensive purposes. Aggressive and pre-emptive wars violate the Just War standard and the Constitution. It’s time to return to a moral and Constitutional foreign policy.”, said Brikho.

As we speak, the Syrian Arab Army is battling against ISIS and associated groups, as they have been for years. Any attacks on Syria will only make matters worse. Either the attacks will reduce the ability of the Syrians to resist the radical extremists or they will put America unnecessarily on the front line as the high profile opponent of ISIS, resulting in a propaganda coup of immense value to them. This will lead to more recruits for them and more danger for everyone else. With the President speaking and acting in an increasingly bellicose manner, time is certainly of the essence. If you wish to stave off the latest developing disaster, the time to act is Now.
